Just had what might be the lowest damage run of all time. Got a bunch of civilians, a soldier, and a bunch of pacifists on the board, which combined made the odds of me actually taking damage really low. Combine this with some Internal Affairs Officers and Extra Life pieces, it was possible to increase my maximum hitpoints to around sixty or so, and because every boss took so long it was possible to get this relatively rare piece really often.
I could delay things further by getting the one-up piece, as well as by using a doctor + medkits to heal myself fully when my hitpoints got low. Since every hitpoint lasted like ten rounds, the odds of pulling off one of these maneuvers went up drastically, since I had many shots at getting either piece.
In the end, I could basically whittle down every single boss one after another, despite not really upping my damage at all, my highest damage piece was an engineer who dealt 36 damage. That's how I managed to take this game that's supposed to take a maximum of 108 rounds and dragged it out to over a thousand.
If it wasn't obvious, this is a cry for help, and a clear sign that I have spent way too much time on this game. It has been fun, but I should never play this game again for my own good, and I'm leaving this comment here as a reminder of that.
Just had what might be the highest damage run of all time. Got a garbage collector turn 1 to clear out the civilians, then w/in a couple more turns got a cloning chamber & aegis - aegis kept the cloning chamber around to keep cloning more aegis.... when I had enough aegises I used an IA to remove the cloning chamber. Then got a secret chest that never went away thanks to the aegises, and a time bomb to keep damage low so I can farm a lot. Also got Berserker + Hypercharger + Green Hands to trigger w/ low health (only once, but that was enough). Eventually the time bomb did end up getting into an unprotected corner & blew itself up & ended my farming, but by then I had big numbers.... too big to fit on screen ;-)
How is it even possible to make a game like this lag consistently? Everything is done in discrete intervals. I can understand lag spikes when processing all the units, but why do effects like tax accountant or mermaid or whatever cause the game itself to lag?
Edit: I figured it out, it's the draw calls! The lag happens whenever the figures get multiple different symbols, like multiple plusses or shields etc
I found a cool interaction I think it was with Mimic and Vampire where the Vamp will Drain the mimic's Power but the Mimic will still do its damage since it copies the highest monster's power. I got like 5 or 6 vamps doing over 5k each plus the Thing that gives everything 2x damage but hurts you. Yeah very cool

Dude why are some of my units just disappearing? My gold dragon just vanished out of nowhere
You Probaly Have A Unit That Destroys Other Units
