Balance updates

Arack rarity changed from Common to Rare

Developer Notes: Common was left over from before the Webbing piece was made. We might consider Very Rare since they are such a powerful piece, but we will see how they perform.

Replicating Spiders rarity changed from Uncommon to Rare

Developer Notes: You only need one to start your run since they self-replicate. Changing them to rare seems fitting considering how powerful they can be.


Piece Bug Fixes

  • Engineer
    •  The Engineer's west grid spot made the Info Panel up too high to see fully.
  • Ooze
    • Was not correctly triggering add piece animations. Could also potentially freeze the game since it was waiting for pieces to be added.
  • Doctor
    • Was only checking for adjacent medkits. [malpractice insurance enacted]
  • Giant Fungus
    • Was not helping its pals. Now correctly supports other Giant Fungi
  • Venus Mantrap
    • Was not always transferring base damage over correctly.
  • Archer
    • Was not correctly using Engineer's built grid spaces for damage buff.

Other Bug Fixes

  • Possible Double Choice Selection
    • A rare instance that if you timed it correctly you could get two pieces from the choice selection. No more soup for you!
  • Ending Accidental Skip
    • Was fixed to have a short delay before you can skip the ending text crawl.
  • Your Militia View
    • Row subtotal count was overlapping the information panel.
  • Graphics
    • Various graphical fixes.
  • Text
    • Various text fixes.
  • Continue Game
    • Various fixes for returning to a saved state.

its finally fulfilling it's plant-destiny!

I wish to append to my previous statement: Venus Mantrap is indeed now awesome, but Venus Flytrap sucks - 30 deployments is  way too many.

My previous comment was after getting a Mantrap directly from a Recruiter; when I attempt a seed -> Flytrap -> Mantrap build it's a lot more painful.

We will look at this and most other pieces for the Steam version.  Thanks for the feedback!

You nerfed aracks too hard. Please put them to be uncommon and not rare. I haven't seen a single arack in a few hours. Seen webbing a few times but webbing is useless without aracks. Also, how do I download the zip file?
Bug report:

Aegis now doesn't prevent ghost destruction.

Ghost always overrides destruction and protected status.  It has a special process where at the end of a round the Ghost decides what it will do, stay or leave. Aegis cannot protect a Ghost from itself.

We currently don't have a desktop build just yet, sorry!

and as far as Aracks, we are keeping an eye on balance changes, this is still the prototype version so it is a good testing ground.

 Thank you for the info. Just make aracks uncommon and all is good. It is hard enough to clean the board of other units to make place for webbing and they don't produce it often enough for easy win.
